Meet Ornella and Roberto, the proud owners of La Burrata Kaasmakerij.

Ornella, originally from Campania, Italy, oversees both the administrative and production sides of the cheese factory. Working alongside her is Roberto, who hails from Puglia, Italy. A former zveterinarian, Roberto found his passion in cheesemaking and now dedicates his time to creating the perfect burrata.

Since moving to the Netherlands in 2019, Ornella and Roberto have been committed to using locally sourced ingredients in the production of their cheeses. Their cheeses are meticulously handmade using Dutch milk and traditional Italian techniques, resulting in a blend of cultures.

In addition to cheese production, Ornella and Roberto have decided to organise workshops to meet cheese lovers and share their knowledge and passion for cheesemaking.
