Prior to the workshop, Ruth will contact you to discuss any design ideas you may have to ensure a personalised and inspiring session.
On arrival you'll be greeted by Ruth in her charming studio. She will guide you through the process, starting with the selection of your glass pieces. Once you've chosen your materials, Ruth will teach you how to cut the glass with precision, making the process fun and accessible.
Next, you'll explore the copper foil technique, an essential skill in stained glass. Ruth's practical guidance will help you master this technique and prepare your pieces for final assembly. The experience continues as you learn to solder the pieces together, giving your creation a professional finish.

Due to the materials used, this course is not suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. Very hot soldering irons are used when soldering the glass pieces together.

I had a great time at the Blue Skies Glass studio by the wonderful glass artist Ruth. She is very well organized, the studio is absolutely perfect with tools and working space for each student. Ruth gave us clear instructions and demonstrations, she is very skilled and also a good teacher. I had a very interesting and fun time, would recommend to everyone!
