Welcome Elena to your venue and learn the art of basket weaving first hand. With a background in design, Elena works with surplus materials such as leather, rattan and textiles to create unique designs.
In this workshop, Elena will share her expertise and passion for basket weaving. You will start with an introduction to Elena and her brand, followed by a brief history of basket weaving to understand its origins and significance.
Elena will then guide you through the technique of basket weaving, demonstrating different styles and methods. You will get hands-on experience as you learn to manipulate materials and create your own woven objects.
By the end of the workshop you will have woven your own small object under Elena's expert guidance, whether it's a coaster, tray or ornament.
