Join Fiona, a talented London-based visual artist, for a delightful day of weaving, where you'll create your own set of beautiful tea towels.
The day starts with an introduction to Fiona and her studio. You'll get an insight into her creative process and see first-hand how she combines traditional techniques with a modern twist.
Fiona will guide you through the basics of using a rigid heddle loom. You’ll learn how to balance warp and weft, combining materials and colours to bring out the best in your fabric.
With the basics covered, it's time to get creative. You'll choose from a wide range of colours to design your own set of two tea towels. Fiona will be on hand to offer guidance and tips to help you bring your vision to life on the loom.
At the end of the day you'll have two beautiful handmade tea towels to take home !

Textile Artist
Meet Fiona, a talented visual artist based in London who works in painting, textiles and mixed media. Fiona brings a unique twist to traditional techniques, blending play, DIY methods and explore tactility and the handmade in an increasingly digital world
Fiona's artistic journey began at the National College of Art in Dublin where she graduated with a BA in Painting. She further honed her skills with an MA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art and Design. Over the years Fiona has exhibited her work internationally with shows throughout Ireland and the UK. Her work is held in prestigious collections including the Office of Public Works in Dublin and numerous private collections.
Her studio, located in a bright and airy shared space in South East London, is a hub of creativity. Fiona enjoys teaching workshops as a way of meeting new people and sharing her extensive skills. Her workshops offer participants the chance to immerse themselves in the world of mixed media and explore their creativity in a supportive and inspiring environment.
