  • Step into Caterina's workshop and get ready to immerse yourself in the world of Greek cuisine. You'll find the menu for the workshops below. 

    Upon arrival you'll be greeted with a welcome drink and some snacks to keep you going while you cook. Caterina will start by giving you an apron and laying out all the ingredients you'll need. 

    Then it's time to cook! Caterina will guide you through each step of preparing a three-course meal. You'll start with a starter to whet your appetite, move on to a main course full of Mediterranean flavours and finish with a delicious dessert.

    Throughout the workshop, Caterina will share stories about her family's love of food and the traditions that have shaped her cooking. It's a chance to learn about Greek cuisine while getting hands-on experience in the kitchen.

    Once the cooking is done, you'll sit down to enjoy the meal together. Caterina will pour some glasses of Greek wine to accompany your meal.

    Before you leave, Caterina will make sure you have all the recipes so you can recreate the dishes at home.

    We kindly ask you to inform Caterina about any special dietary requirements or allergies before the workshop, so she can make the necessary preparations. If you don't, Caterina might not be able to accommodate your wishes during the workshop. 

    Menu for the workshop:

    Starter: Koulouri Thessalonikis (traditional Greek bagel) with Tzatziki and beetroot dip

    Koulouri is one of the most usual street-food snacks of Greece. This single-rise bread is simple and fun to make, and is great with the two dips we will make with it. Tzatziki is a popular spread, and we'll learn how to make the real, thick version of it. Beetroot dip is an amazingly-tasting dip, combining the sweetness of beetroot with freshness and crunchiness and tanginess, which will convert even those who don't like beetroot. 

    Main: Chicken "kléftiko" (there's also a vegetarian version) with green salad.

    Chicken thigh filet, baked in pouches, together with vegetables and potatoes. We'll learn the story behind this favorite main course, and accompany it with a fresh green salad. 

    Dessert: Filo flutes with chocolate praline and ground hazelnuts. 

    Working with filo is the most fun of workshops, and these sweet creations with filo are amazing, as they are easy to make and, as most point out, making them is something between making Origami and meditating.

    Caterina's journey from translator and writer to restaurateur is deeply rooted in her family's love of food. Growing up in a household where cooking was a cherished tradition passed down through generations, she absorbed the essence of Greek cuisine from her mother, grandmothers and great-grandmothers. Food wasn't just sustenance, it was an expression of love and culture that shaped Caterina's culinary skills from an early age.

    Despite initially pursuing a career in education and languages, a moment in Amsterdam rekindled Caterina's passion for entrepreneurship. Inspired by her love of olive oil and a desire to share authentic Greek cuisine, she embarked on a three-year journey to create Olivity. Through meticulous planning and unwavering determination, Olivity was born, offering not only food, but a gateway to the rich cultural heritage of Greece.

    Caterina finds joy in watching others embrace the process of creating delicious dishes and discovering the flavours of Greece. If you're ready for an authentic taste of Greek cuisine and a journey through centuries of tradition, Caterina is waiting with open arms and plates full of delights!
