Join Alex for a two-day immersive workshop in the art of woodcut printing, perfect for exploring this traditional craft in depth. Begin with an introduction to Alex's background and learn to work with Japanese shina plywood, valued for its durability and smooth carving surface. Day one focuses on foundational skills, where you'll get hands-on experience with the tools and techniques, practice inking and printing on newsprint, and progress to creating prints on Japanese Hos

On day two, delve into the reduction cut printing technique, an economical method of layering colors using a single block. You'll explore design strategies and learn to build up vibrant, multi-layered prints. This session offers ample time to refine your skills and create your unique pieces.

Set across a Saturday and Sunday, this workshop includes vegan-friendly lunches on both days. You'll leave with your finished prints, a deeper understanding of woodcut printing, and the satisfaction of creating som
