Welcome to Nick's Hackney studio where you will learn all about lino block printing.

You'll start by learning about Nick's background in illustration, design and printmaking, setting the scene for the workshop to come. Nick will share how he incorporates storytelling into his work, providing a context for your own creative journey.

As you enter the studio, you'll see printed designs to inspire your own creations and have the chance to touch the different tools and materials used in block printing.

Nicholas will introduce you to different types of blocks and demonstrate how to ink them properly for printing. You'll learn practical techniques for achieving clean and accurate prints and how to experiment with different ink colours and effects.

Throughout the workshop you'll have the opportunity to print your designs on paper, following Nick's step-by-step instructions. You'll explore rotating the block to create new patterns and adding colour as time allows.

By the end of the workshop you'll have gained practical skills in block printing and created your own unique prints to take home.

Whether you're a beginner or want to develop your skills, Nick's workshop offers a supportive environment to explore the art of printmaking!
