  • WORKSHOP DESIGNED FOR A TEAM: Participate in this workshop with your colleagues and create unique memories together.Introduce your team to the ancient art of Kintsugi. With a background in design and a passion for this time-honoured craft, Kira has spent over six years perfecting the technique, making it an ideal activity to bring your group together in a meaningful and creative way.

The workshop begins with a journey through time as Kira shares the rich history and profound philosophy behind Kintsugi. From its origins in Japan to its modern revival as a symbol of resilience and beauty, Kira's storytelling will deepen your team's connection to the craft. This reflective introduction sets the stage for an activity that not only nurtures creativity, but also promotes mindfulness and a focus on the beauty of imperfection.

At the heart of the workshop is the art of repair. Under Kira's expert guidance, your team will learn the ancient process of repairing broken pottery using a precious metal-infused lacquer. Each collaborator will fill cracks and seal seams, witnessing the transformation of fragmented pieces into works of art.

Each employee will have the opportunity to create a unique piece, using a variety of materials and techniques under Kira's guidance. In the final stage, you will add gold to embellish your masterpiece, creating a keepsake to take home or display in the office.

    Wecandoo - Rencontrez Kira

    Rencontrez Kira

    Artiste Kintsugi

Kira, an artisan with a unique blend of skills, has been practising the ancient art of Kintsugi for six years. Her journey into this craft was a shift from her background in design, marking a transition that brought together her creative flair and a newfound passion for restoration.

Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with precious metals, is where Kira expertise truly shines. Her approach to this art form is not only creative but also deeply rooted in sustainability. She utilises actual precious metals in the restoration process, adding a touch of luxury and durability to each piece. Moreover, Kira has a special focus on reviving 'forgotten' pieces - items that were crafted but never collected, giving them a new lease of life and preserving their hidden stories.

Described as creative, fun, knowledgeable, and warm, Kira embodies these qualities in her work and interactions. She enjoys meeting new people and is passionate about sharing the history and philosophy of Kintsugi. For Kira, it's not just about repairing objects but celebrating their journey and honouring their history instead of erasing it.

Her workshops are more than just learning sessions; they are immersive experiences where participants are inspired to create and appreciate the beauty in imperfection.
