Step into Nastia Ceramist's workshop and immerse yourself in the wonderful world of clay sculpting and glazing.
In the first half of this 2.5 hour class, you'll not only discover the basics of working with clay, but you'll also learn the intricate art of hand-building techniques like coils and slabs.
Create whatever you want - a funky flower pot, a quirky sculpture, or even a cool mug for your morning coffee. Nastia will be there every step of the way, sharing her expert tips to help you bring your creations to life. From mastering the perfect pinch pot to perfecting the elegant curve of a handle, Nastia's expertise is at your disposal, making this class perfect for all skill levels.
After the sculpting, it's time to unleash your inner glazing guru! You'll learn the art of using special clay-based paint on your creations, finishing them off with shiny or matte glazes. Nastia will be your guide, showing you how to make your work pop.
But the experience doesn't end there. After the workshop, your creations will be fired in the oven twice and then glazed to solidify their shape. You'll then be able to come back to collect them.
The creations are ready for collection after three weeks. You have three weeks from then to collect them; after that, unfortunately, this is no longer possible due to the space the creations take up in the workshop. All materials and firings are included, so you can simply come and let your creativity run wild.

But Nastia isn't just an exceptional artist - she's also a gifted communicator who loves to share her knowledge with others. That's why she offers "Introduction to Ceramics" workshops at her studio, Calaca Ceramic Art. These workshops provide a hands-on opportunity to learn hand-building techniques, including coil and slab methods. Participants will also experiment with "engobes," a clay-based paint, using the sgraffito and slip-trailing techniques to decorate their creations. Through Nastia's workshops, aspiring ceramists can learn from an experienced professional and create something truly beautiful and unique. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned artist, Nastia's guidance and expertise will take your ceramics to the next level. Wij waren op 6 april met een groepje vriendinnen ons eigen mok/vaas aan het leren maken van klei. Wat een leuke ervaring was dit zeg en wat heeft Nastia geduld om het uit te leggen. We zijn ontzettend benieuwd hoe het eindresultaat zal worden.

It was such a lovely workshop. Nastia explained and showed everything in a very clear and cohesive way. There are a lot of things you can try and options you can create by hands: mugs, vases, house decorations. Whatever your imagination tells you and Nastia was there to support on every step. I highly recommend this workshop

This workshop is so nice!! The workspace is very inspiring and Nastia’s art is amazing! She is a cheerful teacher and gives great support. It was my first time working with clay but I am happy how my altar/candle holder turned out.

Gisteren een super leuke workshop gehad van Nastia. Ze is erg gastvrij en deelt in korte tijd veel kennis en ervaring. In 2,5 uur leer je veel over het boetseren en schilderen .

Ik heb genoten van de workshop! Nastia legt duidelijk uit en deelt haar kennis en ervaring met veel enthousiasme. Haar eigen werk te zien in de workshopruimte vind ik prachtig! Al met al heel inspirerend en zeker aan te raden!

Attending Nastia's clay ceramic workshop was an absolute delight. Her guidance and support made the experience both educational and enjoyable. We had a blast crafting our own clay dishes. Nastia's enthusiasm was infectious, and her patience ensured that everyone felt confident in their creations. The atmosphere was lively and conducive to creativity, making the entire process a joy from start to finish.
