Enter the cosy world of sustainable wool production and discover the joy of knitting your own scarf or wrap at The Knitwit Stable, the only farm and knitting studio in the Netherlands where the entire production chain is under one roof.
Your day starts with an introduction to the resident animals and an explanation on how their mohair and wool are transformed into high quality yarns and products, ensuring that the environment and animal welfare are respected at every stage.
You'll then dive into the creative part of the workshop: knitting your own scarf or shawl. Using sustainably produced mohair from The Knitwit Stable's Angora goats, you'll learn to work with this soft, lustrous and warm material. Choose from gorgeous shades of light blue, dark blue or dark grey and personalise with ribbed or fringed ends.
Don't worry if you're new to knitting! You will be guided step by step on a Brother hand knitting machine to ensure you create a beautiful accessory no matter what your level of experience is. At the end of the session, you'll leave with a handmade scarf or shawl that's not only stylish and comfortable, but also a testament to sustainable craftsmanship!
