Using light-sensitive paper, you'll make creative compositions using a variety of materials including plants, objects and even your own negatives. When your design is finished, it is exposed to UV light, which triggers the chemical reaction that gives cyanotypes their characteristic blue tones. This is where the magic happens - after rinsing the paper in water, you'll watch as the rich blues emerge, revealing your final design.

Throughout the workshop, Bernet will guide you step-by-step to ensure you understand the process and feel confident creating your own cyanotypes. You'll make several prints during the session, experimenting with different compositions and techniques to see how they affect the final result. At the end you'll choose your favourite print to frame, which is included in the cost of the workshop.
