Step into Samantha's workshop and prepare for an evening of creativity, relaxation and inspiration! In this special session you'll carve, print and design your very own postcards while enjoying a glass (or two) of wine or beer - the perfect pairing for an evening of creativity.

On arrival you'll be greeted by Samantha, a skilled craftswoman with a deep love of traditional printmaking. She'll begin with a brief introduction to the art of printmaking, taking you on a journey through the origins of the technique, from its roots in ancient China, Japan and India to its modern revival today.

Then it's time to get hands-on! Gathered around a rustic table, you'll find linoleum blocks, carving tools and postcards waiting for your creative touch. Samantha will guide you through each step, so whether you've got a little sketch of your own or need a little inspiration to get you started, she's here to spark your imagination and make sure you feel confident.

Once you've chosen your design, you'll start carving your block, learning to shape the linoleum until your image appears. It's a rewarding process, watching your vision come to life with each careful cut. Once the carving is complete, you'll move on to the next stage: printing.

Now for the fun part! Dip your carved block in water-based inks, then press it onto a postcard to reveal your unique print. Samantha will show you how each block has its own character, making each postcard unique.

At the end of the workshop, take a moment to admire your beautiful handmade postcards - perfect for sending to friends or even displaying at home. Best of all, you'll get to take your carved block home with you, so you can continue printing at home and take some of this creative experience with you.
